Big Boy Bed a Success!
I swear it was just yesterday this sweet little boy was sharing our bedroom and now he's in his very own bedroom in his very own bed. Can I cry for a second....Waaaaa!!!!!!!!!
But, eventually we will need the crib for Eden, so we thought it was probably time for us to transition Sawyer into a bed. We decided to move him into the guest bedroom and leave the crib where it was--all of my babies will have slept in the same crib, in the same bedroom.
Jason brought the twin bed out of the attic and we moved it into the new room. I made the bed with new sheets and a race car quilt. Of course all of the stuffed animals and blankets made the move as well. He was set to go.

We went through his nighttime routine--brushed teeth, read books, sang songs........

And what do you know? Was he scared to be in a new bedroom? Was he nervous to be in a bed for the first time? Would he cry or refuse to go to sleep? We were a little concerned, so we left the door open a crack. Well, Sawyer did get up, but it was to close the door. He then went right to sleep.

Sweet dreams were had by all.

The forgotten Boy
He just needs someone to love him. Someone who will take care of him. Someone who will let him watch Caillou all day long. Someone who really likes to drink juice and make loud motorcycle noises. Maybe someone who notices that he can barely make out shapes through all the hair hanging in his face?
Or should we just stick it in a ponytail and call it a day???

Toothless Wonder

Lily lost her second tooth on Saturday. This time she allowed us to put it out for the tooth fairy. She didn't carry it around with her for a week. She didn't say, "But you don't understand Daddy, it's more than a tooth to me." We didn't have to pry it out of Sawyer's mouth because he had found it. And she didn't ask to bring it to the grocery store with her. I'd say lost tooth number 2 was a success.
